Apple iPhone Captures 72% of Japan Smartphone Market →
Remember back in June, 2008 when it was announced that less than 10% of people in Japan would want an iPhone?

In early 2009, Wired offered an article titled, “Why the Japanese Hate the iPhone”. They later made some editorial updates to the content, but I couldn’t resist posting this portion where Dylan Tweney sticks by their original position:
We believe the main thrust of the story is essentially correct. In short, there is good evidence the iPhone is not selling as well in Japan as it is elsewhere.

The crop art — created by strategically arranging and growing different colors of rice plants — can be seen in farming communities across the country. The largest and finest work is grown in the Aomori prefecture village of Inakadate, which has earned a reputation for its agricultural artistry.
