Not a chess guy myself, but what a great interview!

From LensCulture:
The chronological series begins in 1936, when a 16-year-old girl from Tilburg in Holland picks up a gun and shoots at the target in a shooting gallery. Every time she hits the target, it triggers the shutter of a camera and a portrait of the girl in firing pose is taken and given as a prize.
And so a lifelong love affair with the shooting gallery begins. This series documents almost every year of the woman’s life (there is a conspicuous pause from 1939 to 1945) up until present times.
At the age of 88 Ria van Dijk still makes her pilgrimage to the Shooting Gallery.

Cruze gave me a real smile when I laid him down for a nap. I took a picture of it in my head. You wish you could see it.
After a three week hiatus, I am back online. What you’ve missed:
- We had a baby boy! His name is Cruze. He’s frickin’ awesome!
- Flew all the mothers-in-law to town to visit and stay with us.
- Wrapped up Trip’s baseball season.
- Completed Piper’s soccer season.
- Ended the kids’ school year.
- Attended Piper’s first ballet recital.
- I ran the olympic distance in the Capital of Texas Triathlon in Austin.
- Trip earned his green belt in taekwondo (about halfway thru the color ranks).
Sorry for the dearth of posts of late. But, hey, when life’s happening you better catch it and hold on tight.
